Journey Bee in short:
The couple emerge as if off a train with a suitcase and frantically search for where they are to be next, with humorous consequences, then their journey takes them to their final destination and the story of why they were rushing and what is in the suitcase is revealed.
The piece is based on the quote:
“The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.”
Adaire to Dance always aims to create accessible dance and this duet is a prime example of a piece that can be enjoyed by a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
A piece devised for Arts Derbyshire. Designed to draw the audience to the dancers and then take them on a small journey into another space.
