Alice is an innovative and passionate contemporary choreographer and performer based in the East Midlands.

Her work with her own company, Adaire to Dance, as both choreographer and performer, concentrates on accessible dance and combining other art forms with the movement created.

Her early training was in ballet with the NATD under the tuition of Elizabeth Chamberlain, providing her with a strong grounding in which to explore Contemporary dance at Higher Education, attaining a 1st class BA hons. This led to performance work with Paul Bloom, Cathy Seago, Debbie Lee-Anthony, Katie Green, Company Chameleon, Pure Dance Ltd, and film company Illuminos.

When not performing she teaches all ages in the community from 3 years to 70, in both Ballet and Contemporary. She leads Déda's gifted and talented Youth Companies, assists Derbyshire District Council in facilitating dance for elderly people at the Arc Leisure Centre, provides dance INSETS for Primary Teachers, as well as delivering professional development talks for Creative Derbyshire.

As a lecturer at Lincoln University she has a keen interest in the development and upholding of the work of Dance Artists, which led her to taking on the position of Derbyshire Dance Artists’ Network Co-ordinator, set up by the districts council. Her mission as the Network Co-ordinator is to provide a strong connection between all Dance Network members, provide unique opportunities, and to create an efficient and established Network exclusively for Derbyshire.
